Welcome to Vietnam. Upon arrival in the bustling Ho Chi Minh City, still called Saigon by many locals, our Goway Asia’s team will greet you at airport and then take you to your hotel for check-in. Experience Ho Chi Minh City with its pulsating energy and fascinating culture! This dazzling city boasts French colonial charm from its architecture to its food.
The rest of the day is yours to relax, settle in and, if jet lag permits, do a little exploring on your own.

Meals included: No meals. - DAY 2: HO CHI MINH CITY – HISTORICAL TOUR & CU CHI TUNNELS
This morning we take a drive to visit Cu Chi Tunnels. At its height, the tunnel system stretched over 250km. from Saigon to the Cambodian border and was three levels deep. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what underground life during the U.S.-Vietnam American must have been like. Return the city at noon time for a rest.
In the afternoon, you'll start at the site where the famous Buddhist Thich Quang Duc self- immolated in June 11th, 1963. After his funeral, where his remains were finally reduced to ashes, Quang Duc's heart had not burned, was instead retrieved, enshrined, and treated as a sacred relic. His self- immolation triggered the uprising, which later led to the fall of President Diem regime. Another tour inclusion is the Reunification Palace, a former residence of Indochina Governor General and later of the President of the Republic of Southern Vietnam. The historical building reminisces the fall of Saigon regime in April 30th 1975. Subsequently, the next worth visiting building is the former US embassy where the last American helicopters fled.
To round off the trip, stop at a central city café where you’ll have a coffee while enjoying the city vibrant life.

In the morning, transfer to Coco Riverside Lodge, Trung Nghia - Vung Liem within 3 hour drive via Ben Tre. Upon arrival, you will meet a representative and you are led to the lodge along countryside path. After just a short walk you will be treated to a welcome drink. Check in. Have a lunch at restaurant.
Then select bicycles for a cycling tour in the afternoon on quiet village roads passing by a duck farm, green rice paddies, sedge field and small villages. Along the way, you visit one of the many dragon/orange fruit plantations and taste it directly at the garden. This is a relaxing time with plenty of chances to capture the picturesque Asian sun set scenes. Enjoy the beautiful sunset before returning to the lodge on your bicycles.
After shower and refresh, you start to walk to neighbor home and enjoy a "poon" lights while traditional musical performance by war veteran artist. Then, experience of traditional torches made of dried coconut leaves to get back.
You are the chef! A traditional cooking class with Vietnamese pancake made by you. A great learning experience that means you can take a little of Vietnam home with you. Dinner is served at lodge's restaurant.

Rising early to take a boat trip along the endless waterway of the mighty Mekong River to Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest floating market in Vietnam to get to know how people here do trading on the water. You will enjoy the view of the floating market at the same time Later, our boat heads to visit the local rice noodle factory to learn how local people make noodles by hand in the traditional way.
Back to hotel for breakfast and refresh.
Next, taking the bicycles at An Binh Market and going along Rau Ram canal.
The village road is so nice. During the tour, you can know more about local people’s activities, the scenery of the countryside and the beauty of a canal. On the way to Ba Cong fruit garden to know more about a variety of fruits, you will see an ice factory, monkey bridge, some farms, etc…Then return your hotel for check out.
After lunch, you will be transferred back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Today is free at your leisure for last minute shopping or sight-seeing before driving to the Tan Son Nhat International Airport to catch your departure flight home or travel on to next destinations!
