  1. DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN HO CHI MINH CITY

    Welcome to Vietnam. Upon arrival in the bustling Ho Chi Minh City, still called Saigon by many locals, our Goway Asia’s team will greet you at airport and then take you to your hotel for check-in. Experience Ho Chi Minh City with its pulsating energy and fascinating culture! This dazzling city boasts French colonial charm from its architecture to its food.
    The rest of the day is yours to relax, settle in and, if jet lag permits, do a little exploring on your own.

  2. DAY 2: HO CHI MINH - FULL DAY TOUR TO MEKONG DELTA

    Drive to Ben Tre, approximately 90 minutes from Ho Chi Minh city, where you’ll board a boat that cruises along a branch of the Mekong River. After a short ride, you’ll disembark and set out on a light walk through a small community to visit a brickwork factory where bricks are made by hand. Your boat trip continues to My Long village where you’ll depart to walk through the hamlet to see how rice paper is made and taste rice cake. Following the Cai Son canal, you’ll wind through a coconut jungle, visit a coconut workshop, have a look at the stages of coconut processing from husking to prizing out the peel by hand. Next, set down a small waterway and stop at a buzzing bee garden, enjoy some fruits, honey tea and listen to local music. Visit a candy mill and enjoy some sweet treats before a walking to visit a farmer's house where traditional sleeping mats are made. From here, you’ll have the choice to either bike on rural tracks, ride on a xe loi (motor cart) through a range of coconut groves and vegetable patches, or to simply relax at leisure. Now on a row boat, head along a canal lined with shady palm trees and stop for lunch at the local restaurant. As the tour comes to an end, head back to the main pier in Ben Tre by motorboat to meet your driver, and then return to your hotel.

  3. DAY 3: VISIT CU CHI TUNNEL & CITY TOUR - FLY TO DANANG - HOIAN

    This morning, you will visit the famous Cu Chi tunnels, an incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. Then return Ho Chi Minh city by noon time.
    After lunch, enjoy the attraction of Ho Chi Minh City: visit the Reunification Palace for a guided tour of the former headquarters of the South Vietnamese Government and presidential residence. Then, head out to visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, where the French colonial presence can be felt. The Neo-Romanesque Catholic Basilica was constructed from 1877 to 1833 entirely of imported French building material, including bricks from Marseilles and stained-glass windows from Chartres. Across the street to the Saigon Central Post Office, a stunning architectural marvel with rich Gothic, Renaissance and French influences.
    Our last stop would be at Ben Thanh market where you can practice your bargaining skills while shopping for souvenirs. Discover local life and culture.
    Then your guide and driver will transfer you to Tan Son Nhat Domestic airport for flight to Da Nang.
    Upon arrival, you will be picked up and transferred to hotel in Hoi An town. Check in & relax.

  4. DAY 4: HOIAN - LANTERN MAKING & VISIT ANCIENT TOWN

    After breakfast, your tour guide will meet you at hotel and go cycling to a lantern-making family in town. Colorful lanterns are an unmistakable part of Hoi An’s visual identity as the craft of lantern making has been passed down to present town dwellers from generations of their ancestors. We will spend half a day observing and learning how to make lanterns the traditional way under the guidance of friendly and skilled hosts. Today, you will have an opportunity to practice all production steps including whittling bamboo into splints and bending them into a frame, cutting fabric to size and gluing it to the frame to complete a lantern. The host family will present you the meaningful souvenirs what you made with your own hands when saying goodbye.
    Afternoon, you'll discover the charm of Hoi An, as a renowned World Heritage Site. Once a bustling maritime commercial port of Asia between 15th and 19th centuries, Hoi An is now a peaceful town of exceptionally well-preserved architecture, lifestyles and traditions. The town exemplifies a fascinating fusion of cultures between Vietnam and the outside world including China, Japan, Thailand and the Philippines. Besides visiting must-see highlights of the Old Town such as the town’s iconic 400-year-old Covered Bridge, the 200-year-old Tan Ky House, Chua Ong pagoda…The highlight of the day is the visit to the Reaching Out Tea House, a welcome little oasis of calm in the busy, vibrant Old quarter, owned and operated by the mute and deaf people. Here you will be treated with delicious cakes and incredible tea in the Eastern style. Rest of day, enjoy free time to go shopping, exploring the town or relaxing at hotel.

  5. DAY 5: HOIAN - FREE AT LEISURE

    Enjoy a free day in the world heritage listed Hoi An. You may like to wander the Central Market and the street stalls selling paintings, woodwork, ceramics, lanterns and much more. Hoi An is also famous for its talented tailors who can make beautiful items to order within a few hours.

  6. DAY 6: HOIAN - DANANG - FLY TO HANOI

    Free until transfer to Danang airport to take the flight to Hanoi.
    Upon arrival in Noi Bai Domestic Airport, our guide and driver will wait and transfer you to the hotel in the center of city. Check in hotel & free at leisure to relax.

  7. DAY 7: HANOI CITY TOUR - EXPLORE OLD QUARTER & ITS CUISINE

    Begin the first day of the trip with a tour of Hanoi’s Ba Dinh District, pay your respect to the nation’s founder at the Ho Chi Minh Complex and Ba Dinh Square, an important pilgrimage site of Vietnamese people and learn more about the prewar history of the country (Outside visiting Ho Chi Minh mausoleum). Next stop by the iconic One Pillar Pagoda - a unique Vietnamese architecture reminiscent of a lotus blossom rising from a pond and hear the legend of its construction. Next, continue with the Temple of Literature, built in 1070 and dedicated to Confucius, as the first university of Vietnam.
    Afternoon, continue your Hanoi city tour with Hoa Lo prison, built by the French in 1896 and called "Maison Centrale", Hoa Lo was also called the "Hanoi Hilton" by American war prisoners.
    Later, taking a cyclo for an hour, one of the most typical vehicles in Hanoi, is a human-powered transport with a seat at the front for passengers and the driver at the back. With this leisurely ride, which is perfect chance for photos and slow-moving sightseeing.
    Finish the day with a walking tour and tasting Vietnamese authentic local cuisine around the Old Quarter area. You will have a chance to not only sample delicious street foods but also to explore hidden alleyways and bustling markets. Our food tour includes "Bun Cha" - rice noodle with BBQ pork, one of the most favorable dishes for foreigners, then followed by "Banh Cuon" - steamed rice roll, "Banh Mi" - another well-known Vietnamese food that is even added into Oxford English Dictionary.
    Now, it is time for cup of Bia Hoi (Vietnamese draft beer) or enjoy a cup of unmissable Egg coffee, while we sit down and mingle with locals. It seems it is one not be missed for foodie in Hanoi.
